Jessie spent most of her childhood acting, well not in a theater or on screen but in the back yard of the apartment building. Discouraged by an upbringing that didn’t value creativity, she first focused on her scientific interests, only occasionally taking part in school performances and loving every minute of it.

Jessie's first job was as a Martial Arts (Ju-Jutsu) Instructor. She studied some Electrical Engineering and worked as a Computer Programmer, before finally deciding to follow her heart and study acting. She read every book on the topic she could find, went to several workshops and classes, joined a local theater club, and after a few intensive workshops with Jack Waltzer (Actors Studio), she decided to start to turn her hobby into a profession.

She holds the following Degrees: Bachelor of Arts (Acting for Screen and Stage), Bachelor of Arts (Television Production) and Master of Arts Practice (Television and Screen Direction) (with Distinction)

Her Martial Arts training includes: Ju-Jutsu (German style) (Instructor), Judo (Assistant Instructor), Aikido, Karate and to lesser degrees Kickboxing, Tai-Jitsu (Nin-Jitsu), Iai-Do (Katana) and Fencing. She has attended large numbers of seminars in other styles.

Her native language is German and she speaks fluent Dutch and English
She is a Reiki practitioner.
